My Halloween Creative Costume Moment

It’s not often that I get creative. If you read my Halloween craft post, you’ll recall that I made ghost suckers and thought I was the most creative mom on the planet. Then my daughter brought home her Halloween snack bag and there were 5 other ghost suckers. So I’m not as creative as I thought I was!

I let my Panda and Monkey decide what they were going to be for Halloween. We’re not big into the holiday. We don’t decorate and I don’t let them dress is scary costumes. This year they wanted to do a group costume, something that worked for all three of them.

My Panda loves Dr. Seuss! I’ve read Are You My Mother more times that I can count. She reads all of their books numerous times a night. So when we started thinking about what they should dress up as, we came up with The Cat in the Hat, Thing 1 and Thing 2!

I did buy my Lion Cub’s outfit.  However, a trip to Goodwill and the fabric store let me quickly make my girls outfits.  Red pants and shirts, a few blue wigs, and two pieces of felt made the outfit complete.  They looked cute and were very excited to share their love of Dr. Seuss!
